It’s said that in the face of death, life becomes even more precious. No one knows that better than Dr. Richard Ragle, a board certified osteopathic family practice physician. Delivering babies and assisting in the dying process has provided him with insight and perspectives which are skillfully expressed in masterpiece sculptures. Dr. Ragle’s medical training provides the basis for the exquisite anatomy of his work. Working in bronze, gold, silver, wood and gemstones, he uses his own spiritual recovery over personal struggles to direct his art.
A Native American once believed his soul to be blessed after viewing Dr. Ragle’s “Logan” sculpture. After deep inhalation and exhalation while touching it, the gentleman explained that he was breathing its energy in, and extending a blessing to it. This was to make it part of himself, and him to it. Obviously, Dr. Ragle succeeds in reaching his goal of opening peoples’ hearts to their own spiritual truths! Born in Denver, Dr.Ragle currently lives in the mountains between Santa Fe and Albuquerque.
